PSYCHOLOGIST
An Integrative Approach to Therapy
I am a psychologist with an integrative and humanistic approach who considers the human being in a holistic way, in all its dimensions: physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual. Each human being is unique and has the capacities and resources to develop and realize their potential to live fully and authentically. Integrative therapy is a therapeutic approach that offers, depending on the context and the problematic a mix of psychotherapies. It is a multi-referential approach: it integrates several therapies. It is the psychologist who adapts the therapies by using various tools in order to adapt to the person's problems.
Clinically, besides my masters in developmental psychology I have followed various D.U.s and clinical trainings to equip myself with tools in psychotherapy. I believe in continuous education and always aspire to improve my skills. Currently I am following the Compassionate Inquiry program by Dr. Gabor Maté. Additionally I am a member of Sessions by Esther Perel, Self-healers by Holistic Psychologist and Big Little Feelings (for toddlers and families).

Cognitive Neuroscience & Contemplative Practices
My personal and professional journey is also integrative. I have a double major in Psychology and Genetics. I then completed my master's degree in developmental psychology at Paris 5 University. Then I obtained my doctorate in Cognitive Neurosciences at the University of Paris Cité. My thesis was on the development of language in monolingual and bilingual two-year-old children as well as the role of attention on language in preschool children.
I also do scientific research on contemplative practices (such as yoga or meditation) and well-being in children and young adults. Additionally I am an Original Yoga System teacher and we can use breathing exercises in the session according to your needs.

“Oytun is a brilliant therapist. She is that rare beast: intuitive yet smart. Her questions are incisive yet kind. She is also able to draw many parallels from her work with children and yoga students, which helps puts issues into perspective. Did I mention she's multilingual too?”
